We offer classes in Jazz/Funk,
Hip-Hop, Tap (GWT), Ballet (BAL), Contemporary & Singing. All of our
classes are designed to develop your child’s
talent in a fun, no pressure atmosphere.
We invite family & friends into
the classroom on “open week”
twice a year. Merit awards and incentive
ribbons are given out
at the end of school terms 1, 2 &
3.
All students are involved in our end
of year concert,
performing a routine from each class attended.
Trophies are awarded to all
students at a Presentation Night held
after the concert.

A high-energy class teaching sharp, strong,
funky moves as seen in the video clips.
Traditional jazz is also incorporated
into the classes to focus on technique,
and give the students all the fundamentals
needed to be a dancer. The class structure
includes, centre and progressive work
across the room, followed by a routine
for the end of year concert. These classes
promote flexibility, strength, fitness
and co-ordination. We have classes to
suit students from 3 years – advanced
or beginner adults.

A very popular street
style as used by artist Missy Elliot.
Movements are funky, expressional &
free, teaching up-to-date choreography
to the latest music.

Tap classes are fun
and noisy! Classes are designed for students
from 4 years of age to adults, to enjoy
the art of tapping to old and modern music.
Following the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus, students have the opportunity to strive towards examinations or simply tap for fun & interest.
All tap students learn a class routine for the end of year concert. Tapping
is a great way to improve rhythm, co-ordination
and general fitness. There is no limit
of fun to be had making syncopated rhythms
with your feet!

Students
from the age of five can begin to learn
ballet. Following The Ballet Australasia Limited (BAL) Syllabus, students prepare
for graded examinations held at our studio
each year. All pupils are encouraged to
undertake the examinations, but it is
not compulsory. Ballet instils correct
posture, enhances flexibility, whilst
adding grace and strength.

Pointe work can only commence upon approval
from our Ballet Director. Students require
previous classical training and must be
12 years of age or older. Students must
continue to attend a Ballet class, if
wishing to enrol in the Pointe class.
This class is designed to enhance students’
classical training and further increase
strength.

Interest & appeal
for this form of dance is growing rapidly.
Now studied in many schools from Primary
through to HSC level, it incorporates
jazz & classical ballet. The movements
are diverse, ranging from free & flowing
to defined & abstract. Interpretation
is boundless.

Students who show potential
and outstanding enthusiasm, are invited
to be a Troupe member. Troupe students
must attend an extra lesson per week,
to learn routines for shows and eisteddfods.
Troupe is a great way to further develop
confidence, stage presentation, team spirit
and commitment. Plus the enjoyment
from regularly performing to an audience.
